Unveiling the Writer
Shaidaja knew from a very young age that writing would always play an important part of her life as she was very much radical when she spoke while spending most of her time appearing timid to the eyes. Writing is what she has come to do for herself and her own healing.
Through her work, you will witness that Shaidaja is a strong advocate for her community. A United States Army Veteran and ActSix Scholar whose work exudes reform for systemic strains, anti-racism, and the collective healing for the Black community.
The transformation of Shaidaja's organic yet revolutionary thoughts into poems resonate with her audience, without a doubt. Poetry is her advocacy; the fellowship aspect of it all is what she most enjoys.
